See It, Say It, Symbolize It
Utilizing the See It, Say It, Symbolize framework in instructional design is about choosing: 1) the most appropriate pictorial, tactile, and/or visual representation to make explicit or visible the aspect of the conceptual idea that you want students to see, 2) the conceptually consistent language that aligns with the “See it”, and 3) binding it altogether so that when students look through the symbolic representation (Symbolize it) they have the mental images to See it and Say it.
